Happy Birthday, Bonzo

"Drumming was the only thing I was ever good at."

John Henry Bonham, drummer extraordinaire for Led Zeppelin,
was born on this day in 1948.  His prolific body of work with the band secured
his legacy as one of the best and most powerful drummers in rock.
He would unfortunately lose his life in September of 1980
by passing out and asphyxiating on his own vomit after a heavy night of drinking.
Whenever you hear thunder from the heavens, it's probably just Bonham.

Here's a 1969 performance of "Dazed And Confused"
that perfectly displays his enormous talent.
